Shock that no one has seen this yet. Usually there is a list fighting for the last second spots. You cancelling out or is it for someone else?

I'm in! I just have an extra bed, and I don't want to pay for it all by myself!

Fluidityt is this your first Deal's Gap trip? If so, you'll love it. Will be my 77th unless I make another trip before August. Unfortunately my bike is rideable but has been totaled out by an estimate on the damage. I may have to ride another bike.

Yay! I'm not too experienced at supersport / spirited riding. I've been out to the blue ridge parkway about 10-15x the past year pushing myself, and I just went again today to find a nice section I could use to time myself. I also get pretty aggressive on highway exit ramps sometimes and spend an hour or two leaned over, exiting and entering certain ramps trying to see how fast I can take em'. One person came up to me today at a rest stop and was asking "Oh I saw you leaned over so far! I thought you were going to go down!" I told her that leaning was safer than sitting straight up since the bike leans less and she thought that was interesting ^-^ But that I probably should have been going slower xD

I notice that my body positioning is 100x better at the track, since I'm so focused on throttle and brake control on the twisties (because I don't know the roads well). I find when I lean over too far my lines get worse or bike wobbles too much. Still working on that smooth factor.

But if I just do a small lean I have more "assets" to focus on line and controls.

Going to be practicing more now that my bike is in top-notch condition, and I'll upload some gopro video in the future for critique etc.

If it's your first Deal's Gap trip I wouldn't hang too much off the bike. 318 turns in 11 miles means flipping back and forth on the bike every 2 to 4 seconds... It will wear you out, not to mention that many are blind turns and you might be hanging off one way and need to be on the other side one second later so be careful if you try to drag a knee. It takes at least 50 or more passes before you start to remember all of the turns so don't rush it. I remember crossing the yellow about once or twice a pass on my first through my 20th or so trips up there. Now I realize how stupid that was and now just inattention or adjusting for someone in my lane causes me to cross that line. By the way, the odds are much less crossing the yellow in a right hander than crossing the white line in a left. There are actual 100 foot drop-offs that can KEEL you if you leave the pavement on the downhill side... Again, be careful and have fun. Memorizing the turns is an interesting lesson on the way the brain works btw.
