Look forward to another ride with you all.

Would like to ride the back of the Dragon next year (not as well known yet), and not so crowded as the tail has become. If you guys don't organize a ride there, I'll probably go with my local riding crew. It's in Virginia. It's like the tail but like 30 miles long instead of 11.

Anyhow, here's the vid:

I remember meeting you at the store, The avatar throws me off.

The rode in Virginia sounds interesting...

Got to ride the VA back of the Dragon earlier this year. Was left a little disappointed. The back of the dragon itself is pretty cool and the cops aren't bad. But there isn't any real cool roads other than that one there. There are ok Harley roads and such but not really a lot of little twisty roads here and there in the area.

Living so close to the dragon (tail of the) we're going this Sunday.

Got some guys gonna ride to the tail this Sunday morning. We'll leave out about 8 am and get there about 11 am. Get a bite in Tapoco for lunch I'm sure. If anyone is close enough and wants to meet up.

Damn! I would love to make this event and have the opportunity to meet some of the forum members but can not get away at the first of the month. I hope you all have good weather, great riding and make it home safe.

I will be down that way for several days after the 10th.

In regards to the Back Of The Dragon.......I went down that road a couple of years ago during a four day exploratory ride from West Virginia down to Georgia and did not care for it at all. Yes, it is very twisty but it has no rhythm and there are some 10 mph curves where the road is practically folded back on itself. Also in a few places the shoulder is very high and steep which caused a lot of dirt to end up in the road. As said before, there are really no other good roads in the area. Stick with TN, GA and NC for the best roads in the country.

Nothing better than riding with a few friends in the grip of a shared obsession.
