Queensland near Wivenhoe dam:- Wednesday 5th/8/09 a Highway patrol nicking a bike. Today Sunday on my way down a patrol car and later on my way back a stationary patrol car (radar) and just as I was turning off a Highway patrol car going down.??

Not just QLD mate.
There seems to be a lot of activity in NSW too.
I've ridden around Sydney without a single ticket for the past 15 years or so.
In the last two weeks I've had 3 speeding tickets, two on the bike and one in the car.
There is no difference to my riding/driving methods, and I am not a "lead foot".
Two of these have been dodgy camera detected offences, which I don't believe for a second.
But you can't fight this totalitarian regime we have in place. They say you did it and you must pay.

I know I'm not the only to be upset by this blatant thievery, someone set fire to a fixed speed camera over here a few days ago.
Not hard to understand why.

The amount of unmarked cops cars are here lately is insane. Toyota Camry, Subaru Liberty, Commodore V8 ute. The ute has mags and a unit sticker on the back window!

we dont have many unmarked cars down here.. just the odd ford station wagon and the 1 bike which stands out like dogs balls

I just got back from a few days driving around the Sunshine coast hinterland.

Didn't see any cops

Saw lots of bikes, but no cops

Yeah more than likely just one of those EKKA week show the flag tricks but as I normally use this road at least twice a week during the week it was a bit unusual. There's been 2 breath testing outfits at Fernvale in the last fortnight also.
