Todays (6/12/2009) Queensland Sunday Mail reports two "Q" bikes - powerful unmarked motorcycles with hidden red/blue led lights and siren will be trialled on Qld roads in the January holiday period. Police on the unmarked bikes will not be in uniform but with identification. More may follow. Next I suppose will be Hyosungs with bazookas.

another policing gimmick which will have no effect whatsoever on road safety.
I'm sure it will be a fantastic revenue raiser but what are the other benefits of this, if any?
Policing in this country is a joke.
NO EFFECT whatsoever where its needed.
Its all about revenue and taking from the working man.
I won't be stopping for them either |

nothing the government does in aus is to help reduce road toll, it's all money raising revenue which the gov blows on stupid shit anyway. Darwin (NT in general) used to be great, open speed limits, no speed cameras, not a lot of police but unfortunately this has all changed this past year. So many D's popping up driving any car these days, stupid red light/speed cameras popping up everywhere, I can't even speed home at 4am on an open fuckin highway without having to worry bout bein pulled over. We becoming just like every other city and it sux! I will defiantly be pissed on the faithful day I get pulled over by another biker, sad days to come me thinks |
