Miserably wet in the Brisbane R valley. Nothing catastrophic.

Having seen most of my city (Nashville, TN) underwater not too long ago, my heart goes out to all of those who are experiencing the same thing right now. You Aussies are strong people. The waters will recede, and you will rebuild and restore your cities. It is hard, and the process is slow, but you guys will overcome this obstacle. Godspeed in the recovery, and God bless you all.

Well its just dumped another 41mm in my location since 9am in the Stanley/ Brisbane R catchment. If it keeps up like this its well primes for a '74 flood repeat.

Well since I last posted the rain gauge now says 95 mm for the day so far. The weep holes in my retaining walls are spewing forth, there's a carpet snake holed up in a dry boulder pile near the gully at the side of the house and the Mogs well and trully miffed.
