arron im in townsville so far all the modles are saying it will be hitting us or just north or just south

my wife works for "energy power systems cat rental power" and she just got out of the emq (emergancy management queensland) meeting and thats when i put this up there saying that it will be twice as wide as larry and a lot of other bad stuff but the main thing they said is there prepairing for queenslands worst event in history as in the damage this monster will do

now you can sleep thru a cat1 stay up and watch the show in a cat2 cat3 it stay in doors and hope cat 4 its stay in doors hope and pray and cat5 it just cant be explained

so heres hoping it hit some where where theres not to much human life or better still it pisses off

A cyclone is what we, over here, call a tornado right?
If that's the case, and it's a 4 or 5, head for the basement.
Those are strong enough to rip pavement from the ground.
Put supplies down there early (canned goods, water, bread
Batt powered radio, first aid kit, flashlight, blankets, etc.)
You don't want to hv to collect that stuff when shit is hitting the fan mate.
Watched my hometown get devastated, twice, by F4 twisters.
Not a good thing!

we have already got stuff down there funnly the box we have down there is called a cyclone box and we have one up stairs we dont have a basement as such
see downstairs is on the ground and up stairs is well up stairs my house has been biult to withstand cat4 so its going to get a real test

now iv been told iv got to go to cairns for work tomorrow (tue) and come back wed and this thing is going to be hitting wed night apperently but there very funny things and things can change quickly so we all just have to keep an ear out

Ok....same page now.
That's worse than a tornado to me, they involve water.
I was in a hurricane years ago when I was in
The Corps. I was in Jacksonville, NC & we were in the field
Doing some night movements when a call came across the box
Telling us to drop what we were doing & immediately seek shelter.
We had to double-time it 3-4 miles thru the forest
to this rickety-ass wooden hooch (that had sheets of wood
that you raise with a stick for a window). When that thing hit, the
Wooden windows were flapping like wings & the building was shaking
Dirt, branches, and leaves were getting tossed inside & I thought
That we were gonna fly away & die. By the grace of God, the old
Building held up with minor damages.
I've been in tornadoes, car wrecks, stabbed, shot at, electrocuted twice,
tossed down the interstate @ almost 100 mph, and some
Other shit.....but THAT MOMENT of my life was the scariest for me.
I HATE THOSE THINGS!!!
When my time was up, I left the East Coast.....never to return.
