Legal spots to mount plate in Queensland?

Google didn't help.

Anyone know exactly where we can mount our plates? Was wondering if we can tuck them further under the bike like the guys in the states do? Pretty sure I know the answer but what the hell.

IIRC they need to be visible on a 45 deg angle. Side to side, and from above.

Under the seat like up under tail will certainly attract you too much attention from the boys in blue. And will result in a ticket. We will even be pinged over here for non ADR Indicators.

I've had a mate pinged on a 916 for his plate being 'angled' as it was deemed he was trying to avoid camera detection. And copped a nice fine for his arrow full system that was on the bike.

Check with the Transport department. You'll not be liked if tollway cameras can't identify you. The 45 degree bit sounds right.

Not sure if they're still being wankers but the cops were blitzing the removal of the stock rear fender a few years back. Handing out fines to anyone that didnt have a standard unit fitted.

Usual spots, Nebo, Glorious, Mee, Tamborine, GC hinterland etc.

dave there still doing that up here and even if the size complys then then book you for no reflectors because the standard ones have them its getting to hard to mod any thing up here
