03 zx6r projector lamps

Hi guys,

I have recently purchased and 03 zx6r and I find the lights to be a little on the horrible side.

I have looked into ways to improve the situation and found alot of guys overseas are doing retrofitting of either hid or led projector headlights, the problem I am facing is that while I can find a few companies in the states and Europe that do conversion kits suited to our bikes I can't seem to find anywhere in aus that may do this kit.

Have any of you done this conversion? If so where did you purchase the kit from? I really would prefer to keep it within aus if possible for warranty reasons and such. Also curious if this is a hard job or not?

I did a retrofit on my 05 about 4yrs ago

just bought this from aliexpress

wholeset projector lens,with angeleye,shroud,ballast,lamp and harness,angeleye colour:blue.yellow,white....temp 4300,5000k....-in Angel Eyes from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

fit in beautifully and haven't had any problems except one blown ballast about a year ago. I should add this is my daily ride to the city and back (bout 45mins one way) so as you can imagine it gets a beating

the only thing I suggest is to ensure youput a relay in or youll burn the regulator/rectifier unit. I found this out the hard way.

H7 is an easy retrofit. Purchase a Mini H1 Projector from a quality vendor. This has an adapter for H7 Mount. Then takes an H1 HID Kit. This will provide Bi-Xenon setup with an exceptional cut-off.

I purchase all lighting from www.beyonddrivenauto.com - Lifetime Warranty and 30 day satisfaction guarantee. They do really nice auto retrofits(I have one in my BMW E30) and sell the loose parts as well.

Thanks for the help guys. I have being looking into other options that I might have. Has anyone ever used led projector lights? They look much easier to retrofit without ballasts and such but I'm concerned about the heat they produce.

Xenon bulbs produce a lot of heat as well so I wouldn't worry about that.

Which projectors? Most aftermarket are way too big currently and OEM would require purchasing a complete headlight which would be very costly.
