As long as it's not cold and/or raining at turn 1 Phillip Island in October - I don't care...

I'm a tad excited as you can tell...

Ah Phillip Island. Can't wait for that weekend. Not that i can probably make it to the actual race, but the boys and i will be doing the Barry Sheene Memorial ride from Bairnsdale to the island again. Did the whole thing for the first time last year... was good. But this year we were going to register for track lap, then make our own way. But now we have 7 new riders amongst us who all wanna do the pack thing. So looks like i'll be going from 20km/h in a 90 zone, to doing 140 in an 80 zone... sitting next to a copper too!!
I love police escorts.

Anybody else doing the bairnsdale to phillip island ride let me know. Would be good to say hi.

Well, i guess it's my go. I'm Ben, married, two great kids, 34 years old. Spent the last twelve years working as a copper in Victoria, not as exciting as you'd think. The only part I really miss is the police bike I rode for three years (yes, I know, a BMW is not pretty, not fast, but being paid to go riding every day? Hard to beat! Plus, you get to ride a wee bit faster than the legal limits sometimes, too )

I'm a firefighter now for the MFB in Melbourne, much cooler job, but no work bike. In fact, the truck I drive now at work has some issues with lane-splitting - it's a little too wide. Still, air horns and flashing lights get people's attention in the end!

Just bought a 02 zx636, red, after nearly four years off the bikes. Feels great to get back on again, let me tell you. My fav playground for rides are the Dandenongs or the Black/Reefton spurs.

And thanks to ppl already for making me feel welcome !

Hi all, I'm Kris from Newcastle in sunny New South Wales, Australia. My story starts with a "Honey I'm Pregnant" I could possibly be called hard nosed (Lady's sorry in advance), but if you don't take the pill for a week and not mention there is a problem are you really trying to prevent the birth of your future child. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Answer: O.K. then no problems I'm getting another bike.

Any how I was determined to purchase an 02 R1 but after riding my now 01 ZX6 the search was over. add that to a couple of hours search for a manual for some suspension info. I found this site bl#*dy fantastic.

Looking forward to getting to know you all better

Kris
