Just a for fun build thread, from bone stock to race bike. Going to take awhile to complete the build but one step at a time.

The day I brought her home with 800 miles

Few days later had my first track day at HPR, felt really good on the new bike. Way better than the 2005!

Installing the rear sets

Test fitting the Leo!

Mocking up paint ideas....

Second track day at my favorite track, PMP, was running race pace!

Finally saying goodbye to the street life!

More to come! This will never end haha. So ready for the 2016 season :D

Satin purple, satin white, and satin green. Would look awesome :D

And this can be your matching race suit
Lollll
LOL that would be great!
It's a very pearly purple and green. I decided against the silver belly pan, I think continuing the purple will look better.

They are fantastic on the track! I love everything about mine, it really inspires confidence!

Me neither!

I like your idea of doing a mock up of your paint scheme. I would do a handful of them and compare which one you like.
Thanx, I needed a way to put my ideas on paper so I found a picture of a bike that had a paint job I liked on it, printed it, and threw my own ideas at it with sharpies! I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but hey, it worked

Our last ride until Race School 4/1

Nice work! I'm hoping to go to barber later this season to do a track day. Never done one before.

Try to find an instructor to help you out at first mostly with lines because good lines mean keeping yourself and others safe! But you can always work on body position, trail braking, setting up for turns, where the apex is in different types of corners, etc etc

But always, always, always above all remember to have FUN :yes

Just got back from the shop, got her full tune and quick shifter installed. Was making 109 and now up to 117, I prefer it dialed back a little because durability > power
Can't wait to race with the new beast! Round 1 is in a little over 2 weeks!

Well it was canceled due to rain and snow. Was rescheduled for another date so at least that means we still have a full season!
I will have more photos this weekend after the track day! The bike is still in pieces in the shop but I did get my trailer fixed up.

She still hasn't been painted :(
