Canadian Insurance Rates

Ok folks, I'm just curious to everyone's choice. I'm currently with State Farm and I got a pretty good deal at the time but recently I received my renewal and noticed a bit of an increase. While I know rates fluctuate in and around the GTA, I have been insured with them going into my 3rd season and this is the first increase.

Has anyone else experienced this in general or is this a State Farm thing?

td bank/primmum insurance is pretty good.

i think they're all raising this year. even my folks in brockville said it would go up almost $100.

I'm with State Farm as well for my truck and I have noticed an increase across the board with all insurance companies in Ontario. With the government supposed to be forcing the insurance companies to drop their rates 15% all the insurance companies have started raising their rates in anticipation for this so that when the government eventually makes them lower rates their profit margin will not be changed. Your insurance broker won't tell you this but it's pretty obvious what they are doing.

Yes, I have noticed a steady increase with my car insurance over the last 3 years but this is the first year I noticed a big change for the bike. I made the awful mistake with getting Jevco when I first got my license but since I changed over the State Farm a couple of years ago when I bought the ZX6 the rates were consistent over the last couple seasons. I was unaware that bike rates would have increased as well.
Mind you, I have a clean slate on both car and bike and have been driving for a while now so this is just an eye opener that's all.
