Its a long story, but I had a friend die last summer of cancer. Before he passed we were talking about making a trip to Deals Gap. Its a long trip, but I'd like to make it for both him and myself.
Some company would be great, so I'm putting out the offer to any local ZX6 or other riders interested. More riders equals a better trip. If your interested, hit me up and we'll plan it out.
Cheers

I just got back from there. It was amazing, 10x better than I was told it was. The Tail of the dragon is only a small portion of all of the riding down there. You have to make sure you take highway 28 to 143 from deals gap when you get there. It is amazing. Not a lot of cars and a whole lot of sweet riding

I'd like to go too.( work permiting) Sorry to hear about your friend passing.
Was in a similar situaltion having a friend my age pass from cancer. Although he was a car nut, he restored a 68 Camaro and our friend did a long burnout infront of his hospital room in the parking lot. He could only smile.

Hey guys...
blkpitbull - Unfortunately, August is booked solid for me already. About the only time I have sufficient time off to make the trip would be the first half of July or mid September.
Wesley - How long did the trip take you? If plans do get finalized for the trip, I make be hitting you up for some details if thats okay. I'm guessing the trip will take 2-3 days each way plus a day or more there to enjoy the ride. That works out to at least a 7 day tour. Sound about right?
OMalley - Thanks, and I'm sorry to hear about your friend too. 68 Camaro? Probably the king of classic muscle, no doubt a sweet ride. You probably noticed above that I mentioned I'm really only free to make the trip in July or September, not sure if either of those dates work for you, but we can discuss it if they do.
I'm just noticing that none of you 3 live in Canada?! Not that there is anything wrong with that, I'd just assumed that you were all northern boys.
Cheer

A group of us form the London area went May 16-22. It was AMAZING and yeah as other have said the Dragon is about 1% of the great riding in the area. We trailered the bikes down(14 hours going south on I75, no thanks) You will want more than a day to ride down there. We rode for 4 full days and still didn't do everything we wanted to. About 14 hours each way if you take I75.
