Sounds fun, I'll have to try that sometime!

also a must is getting to the top of the mountain before the lifts close and stay up there till they kick you off and make you go down to the bottom. Laying in the snow on a mountain looking up at the starts = pretty fucking awesome.

your correct twin, flag does get snow in the winter, and they can get quite a bit as well, but no snow in the city. but what you do get is some awsome riding temps through fall, winter, and spring. riding your bike in summer is doable but hang on to your camal pack because you think 110+ degrees is hot, get on the higways and your looking at more like 120+ to 130+ or even higher... you do have to put the bike away for the monsoon season, but that season doesn't last to long, but on the plus side the monsoon season brings in some pretty rediculious storms...

I bet a thunder storm rolling in over the desert has got to be one hell of a sight.

oh its the best, the smell of wet desert is one of the best things about the storms... we had a micro burst last year that came through tempe, there was so much lightning that the thunder never stoped. it was just a constant rumble along with the really loud crackling thunder. in my apartments alone we had about half a dozen trees that had fallen over and had a bus turn over from the wind and mass flooding... IT WAS GREAT!!!

the monsoon season normally starts in july and ends in september.... so its not horribly long. and the rest of the year is pretty much always sunny.
