Actually, I'm from Dallas, I'm up there pretty frequently, might be moving back sooner or later. It's a long, long ride from here to there, about 3.5 hours. I did it on my Ninja last summer, just about had a heat stroke. There's not a whole lot of good places up there to ride since there's almost no hills or topographical variation. I've ridden up north of Dallas, there are some routes that go northwest that aren't bad, like through McKinney and up to Lake Texoma. Try google-ing it, I remember seeing some routes that people posted. If you're ever down this way on your bike, let me know, there are some pretty good roads for bikes down this way.
