Michigan People Riding Yet?

Just wondering if any of my fellow Michiganders are out on the roads yet? I went for a very brief jaunt last week, but that's it for me so far. What about the rest of you?

Well, even without being in Michigan we have similar weather. Planning on going out today after school. BTW how do you teach your classes and also get on this site as often? (If you are wonderin the same for me... I am a multi-tasker )

I'm at a school that has 7 class periods in the day (long-ass school day for these kids) and full time teaching is only 5 of those 7 periods, so I have two hours plus lunch during the day that I can use as I see fit

I went riding a few weeks ago when we had that 55+ degree weather. But haven't went out since. It's such a pain in the ass to wash the salt off the bike every single time I go out.

Yes this is my third bike and third year of riding, I had a 2012 Honda 250r, then a 2008 CBR 600RR, then came over to Kawi for my 2013. Where are you located?

Yea I havn't been out yet either, damn salt is still all over the roads and pot holes the size of Buicks. I'm getting pretty close to saying screw it and taking it out. The winter that never ends.

Nitrus you work in a school as well? I work in DPS myself.

Yeah, everywhere I drive I think about trying to dodge all these pot holes on my bike once I get it out there...not feeling too excited about that.

Yeah, I teach at a charter high school in the GR area. How's your school fairing currently with all the budget cuts and student loss in DPS lately?

I'm on the west side of that giant blue thingy. I heard if you hit a wheelie and hit the blue stuff, you can throttle it all the way over to the MI. Gonna have ta try

We could maybe try to set up a mid-state meet-up sometime this summer so that people from both sides can meet in the middle and hang out, go for a little ride, eat, head our separate ways
