I bought an 04 636 for 700 dollars,it is in rough shape but not horrible shape the frame is scratched and a little dented,second gear pops out at around 10,000 rpms (That I think could be one of two things,either shift forks or dogs,hopefully shift forks lol) needs new rearsets,and the turn signals don't work due to wiring problem(i found an online manual so the wiring wouldn't cost much, just some time to get the wiring correct)It also has an R title.the motor runs great and starts up great. oh it needs a mid pipe and exhaust also.I figured a running 04 636 for seven hundred i couldn't pass that up. even if i part it out i can easily make my money back but my question is, is the bike worth putting maybe 1000 dollars into and making it into a decent bike or should i just sell it now or part it out?

Ok just so you know, you posted in the classified section. Try reposting in the proper spot for a better response. Personally i would not buy a bike with a R title and that is something you have to think about. Its most likely best for a track bike or partout...

first of all, what is an R title? second, I'd have to see pics but sounds like it's prolly gonna need a lot more work than its worth so you are prolly best either reselling it as is or parting it out. might be interested in taking it off your hands if you aren't too far away.
