2007 zx6r $2100

I have a 2007 Ninja zx6r that needs an engine swap. I would do it but I'm a student and need every penny I can save, so I'm letting this bike go, my loss is your gain! Instead of the motor, the bike is in IMMACULATE condition! Lots of extras on the bike:

- two brothers exhaust
- 1 less tooth on rear sprocket
- red accented items throughout the bike
- red "zx6r" heel guards
- very clean integrated tail light system
- brand new break pads and tires
- Kuryakyn handles

She pm if interested, I am open to negotiations!

- thanks!2007 zx6r 00-img_3379.jpg2007 zx6r 00-img_3380.jpg2007 zx6r 00-img_3383.jpg

Rod bearing is shot :/..... I used to baby her like crazy, even did the valve change myself, but I ran low on oil and it shot my bearing. Ironically I was only a day away from changing my oil, as I had to save money up to buy the oil :/.... but I guess everything happens for a reason...

If you're mechanically savvy, you can easily buy the rod bearing for $10 and replace it yourself, but it would be an engine rebuild. But if you were to do that, you would make a KILLING off this bike! Personally I don't have the finances or time to do any of this (I'm a pre-med student)

I guess "a killing" is subjective, especially when talking about a 10 year old bike that doesnt run.

Part it out if you have the space and time for it.

"Basic stuff fellas. Use your head for something other than to break your next fall."

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

And just because it needs to be said...... bearings don't spin because of how old the oil is.

If the bike was low on oil, it would have to be very, very low --- quarts low.

Immaculately maintained, and spun bearings don't belong in the same sentence......

Your $10 analogy would be compared to.

All you need is a $300, heart stint. Once you have it your all set.
A full engine rebuild could run more than the bike is worth. $2,500 to 5,000.
Having the stint put in would run between $75, to 200K.

If your a med student, and are short on money. (most are)
Find a running engine and over the weekend swap it out.

This time keep the cholesterol up on the motorcycle. (oil, HIGH in saturated fats)
And yours low to avoid the stint later in life.

Hahaha... there's a reason why my oil was low, but I'm getting a bit teased already and I don't wanna say the reason why, but I guarantee Scorpio knows because I remember him chiming in when that event occurred (that made my oil low and my paranoia high). But there was a reason that it happened. Like I said, I'm pretty mechanically inclined so t was super ironic and even a little funny that the thing that ended up getting me was low oil, among other things I've dealt with. But this is how we learn in life

Hahhaa nooo you didn't do anything, I had a critical oil failure many months back (almost a year now) because I didn't torque down my filter (allegedly K&N filters are notorious for not tightening down enough) and I got some advice on the forums and you were one of them who chimed in lol.... but after that, it started a whole domino effect with my oil being low lol
