Do you happen to know the part number for this? I know a lot of these can be used on many bikes with the right brackets. I'm looking for one for a different bike and don't want to buy new if possible.

I looked up the part number from the steering diagram on Rocky mountain ATV. Let me know if you can't find it and I will try to get you the part number

So noob question. What does Re-valved mean? Is that the kinda like saying I got a refurbished laptop? And at least you sold your part. I would've taken it. Day late, dollar short I guess.

Usually the stock damper is too soft for using for racing or track day purposes. So the valving inside the damper is changed to make it stiffer for track riding/racing. This makes the bike harder to move around when stationary but when there is a possible tank slap under acceleration, the damper does a better job by restricting the movement of the front end since its stiffer.

Talking to my suspension guy last round, I was told the baseline damper setting needs to be at the stiffest setting where you can move the bike around in the pit, then work from there based on preference.

I don't think all this matters much for street riding

Ok, thank you. I'm planning on going to Road America and doing a track day, but I haven't purchased a damper yet. Most of my riding will be street. I did hear though that the dampers help with crappy roads too. Like potholes and bumps etc. So I may still get one regardless. Safety first.
