Whaddup folks? I'm passing this on from another forum. Good times, and an excuse to get out and ride for a good cause. There are bikes from 1960 to 2011, cars of the same age and a whole lot of good people. Plus, they will be selling raffle tickets for a Ducati Bayliss Edition! Copy and paste from the site: Quote:
Holy crap it’s been 5 years since we did our first ride. It’s amazing how things have changed and grown over the years. By now most of you know about The Underwear Ride and what it is all about. For those of you that do not here’s a quick rundown. The Underwear Ride started out as a crazy idea one night in a coffee shop to put a charity motorcycle ride together at a time of year when most people have their bikes packed away for the winter. The idea was for a small ride with a few friends. Over the years that small ride has turned into an amazing event involving bikes of all makes and models and cars of all vintages. All throughout the year we run into people that cannot stop talking about the Underwear Ride and how much they enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next one. The first year we had 25 bikers in 27 degree weather, the second year 75 bikes and a balmy 33 degrees, the third we had 5 inches of snow and 13 riders braved the conditions. Year four we had an amazing 55 degree day and well over 100 motorcycles and 20 cars showed up for the ride. I can only imagine what this year will bring. I don't know if we will ever be able to top last year’s ride but I'm looking forward to trying.
The Details

This year we are trying something a little different. In the past we have had a planned route that we asked everybody to follow. This year we will have a suggested route and leave it up to everybody to get to Hooters by whatever route they want. If the weather is nice and you want to take the long way there, have at it. All we ask is that you ride safe, have fun, and be respectful of others on the road.
Thank you to everybody that has already committed to riding in this year’s event. For those of you that are on the fence please come out and give it a try. I think you will find that it is a lot of fun and the feeling of giving to others who are less fortunate really creates a great atmosphere to be around.

What is an Underwear ride, you ask?
It’s a way for us, as riders, to give back to the community. We can do this by donating new, unopened packages of undergarments to the less fortunate. The reason for donating undergarments is because it seems that everybody has donated used clothing to shelters before, but how many of you have donated your used underwear? I really hope everybody says no to that last question.
Undergarments are cheap and easy to carry on a motorcycle. For less than $15, you can buy two packages of some type of undergarment. You can then stuff them into your jacket or in you tank bag and ride to donate them. This ride has a few benefits.
1. We get to, as a group, give back to the community.
2. We get to help others that are not nearly as fortunate as we are.
3. We get to ride!
The Rules: Bring at least one package of new, unopened undergarments. This includes underwear (men’s, woman’s, or children’s), under shirts, long johns, socks, and anything else along that line. There will be absolutely NO stunting or stupid riding. If you cannot keep yourself under control, don’t come. This ride is meant to help shed a better light on to bikers in general, not make us look bad.
This is a great opportunity for us to give back to the community. I hope many of you can make it out and make it a huge success in the process.
For more info or to contact us, please go to: The Underwear Ride Home
Thank you and we look forward to riding with all of you

Sounds like it could be fun. I'll have to wait and see what the weather is calling for. Coming from Hagerstown is a bit of an over all ride if it's really cold out. Especially when I don't have any cold weather riding gear. lol.
