Hello, and welcome to the Official NY Group Ride(s) Thread.

This thread has been created so that we can get group rides together for the upcoming riding reason. It doesn't matter what bike you ride. You're more than welcome to come along. I also invite NJ riders as well. The details have not been decided yet, but keep an eye on this thread for updated information. Any updated information will be edited into my OP. I rather the NJ riders come meet the NY riders in NY as if this was a NJ Group Ride, than of course we would come to NJ, but I feel Long Island has some decent roads to ride on, and just all around a good state to ride in, especially Long Island.

The Southern State is very smooth so that would be fun, and the SS has a lot of bends so it would be fun. We could also stop for lunch somewhere, and then ride again. Simply reply to this thread if you're down, and as it gets closer and closer, I'll update my OP with all the information we gather from the thread as it grows.

Hey guys,

Used to live in Rego park, Queens. Please, for the love of Christ, stay out of trouble over there. Given the insanely negative press that sport bikes have been given lately in the NYC area, all we need is more hooliganism to make it worse.

Having said that, have fun guys!

@meanMachinzx trust me ill keep these new guys in check. if any of them start acting a fool around me they get a pipe in the spokes. and Muilisx southern state is ok but dangerous...those turns are fun but not when cars dont turn with them...

we will def set up some bear mtn rides and CT rides. roads up in CT are much better than NY or NJ. other than that ill be doing my usual 25a(northern blvd) runs, bayville, kings park, Long Beach, hamptons and the rest of the usual trips.

BTW selling some new parts
Sliders and FE

What's up everyone. Anyone near Queens or long Island have an m4 or Comp werkes exhaust on their zx6r so I can hear it then head out for a ride? Trying to get mine this weekend but still undecided on which one and hearing any in person would greatly help. Also meet new people to ride with.

Bear isn't even that great really.. I've taken the ride up a few times and while it's fun, it's not as great as people hype it up to be. There's always those ass hats who think they are gods and rip around those roads going over the lines, flying past others, cutting cars off. It's rather pathetic. That and every time I've been there, it seems like there's a fairly bad accident, last one I saw was car vs bike because the idiot on a bike couldn't stay in his lane around a bend. Guess who won.

And that my friend is because you don't know the backroads around bear Mtn ;)

Everyone thinks Bear Mtn is "Perkins" or "Anvil Circle"....just saying. There are lots of roads I have seen 1 to zero motorcycles on...

While Perkins is a nice view, and over the bridge is also nice I agree the traffic flow kills it, plus a bunch of idiots who think they are on the track...

Just saying...theres more ;)

Edit: I know in PA everyone loves "Hawks Nest" which is shorter then a football field :laugh

Yeah Hawks nest was a bummer. I thought I missed something :laugh I'm tired of riding up by bear mtn too. If any of you more local guys know some good roads, please share :devious. I mean PLEASE! :coocoo

I'm open to riding in the poconos area. If you guys would post up some of your roads :yumyum:

<This guy would appreciate it.

PS. I like these little face things.
