Tristate scenic rides

Couldn't find a similar thread, Attempting to make this thread for riders to list Scenic Routes in the tri state area so other members can explore and take group rides out there.

Lets all List Routes, Destinations, ETC to assist other riders with putting some mileage on their bikes.

3 Amazing Rides I've taken were
- Bear Mountain (Bear Mountain NY)
- 7 Lakes in NY
- Hawks Nest (Outside of Port Jervis NY)

Any other places in NY NJ CT that the vies and ride is an experience?

If you want the breakdown on fuel management systems, take some time to read this thread.
For a walk through on pulling FI Codes, check out this thread.
Questions about Flashed ECUs vs. Fuel Controllers? Try this one.
Got a Z-Fi TC System? Read This to get an idea of how it works.
Here's a link to some Kawasaki Service Manuals that I've got hosted for everyone's use.

Hey all.....to add to whats being mentioned above I will try and "Capture" some nice pics to represent each spot mentioned so folks have an idea of what the ride will entail, I hope it does not "Spoil" any surprises, if anything it should motivate you to check these spots out. I will try and keep it "bike free" (I know crazy) so you can not get distracted by its beauty

If anyone has routes with pics (or vids) to add please do it as it will help all decide choosing a ride on their free days or weekends.

Bear Mtn has some nice surrounding areas (as mentioned above, 7 lakes has some interesting spots, Bear Mtn Bridge area, Perkins, etc....) With that said lets start......

1) RT218.....its a small ride ride off of 9W past Bear Mtn.
Gorgeous view....nuff' said

2) PERKINS:
Entrance

Tower

LookOut

Place to sit and enjoy the view

Another seat for us old folks....

Up Close....for some reason I like this pic...

View:

SEVEN LAKES DRIVE:

(More to come...)

Eagle Lookout spot when you go over the Bear Mtn bridge heading towards Peekskill

Hawks Nest is decent....but a long ride for a short road...

9W has some nice lookout areas...

I will try and dig up better pics to represent each spot (Without my bikes) so everyone can get an idea of what each ride will get them

Also folks I am editing my above post to give more scenic pics of each "Spot" listed so people get the idea of what they are getting if they take that ride (Hope it doesn't spoil anything...)

A spot I always loved when I was back home was
Kanawauke Rd
Southfields, New York

Only check it out if your local, I believe they recently redid the road so it should be amazing, but I'm not 100% how much of it got redone and if it's currently open.
It's just off old 17 near Tuxedo

Please keep me in the loop if you end up putting a ride like this together as long as you dont mind an old slow guy...I would likely be on a sport tourer and not a ZX6R though :-p

This sounds real cool to me. I always ride alone in fear that I would end up in a group of real young dudes who ride like beasts. I like enjoying the ride (and I'm always up by Bear Mtn.). Sooooo Holler! lol

I'm down
