Met some pretty decent people that day .. Plus countless photos of some really bad ass machines !
Nobody has said it was "bad".

At least not me. All I've stated is that this type of ride typically casts a bad light on the sport bike community from the eyes of the non-sportbike community.

I'm still waiting to hear from ANYONE what this ride promotes, supports, or raises awareness for.

Personally.... I'd rather go ride by myself than in a cluster fuck full of people I've never ridden next to.

That's been my trepidation about easing into the motorcycle scene in my area. My mind tends to imagine all the bad things that can happen, which is great for negotiating traffic on my daily commute, but probably not great for a nice ride in the twisties, where I'd be constantly concerned with some idiot coming into a corner too hot behind me, and knocking me off the road.

Jesus, there was a newer Z06 'Vette in the parking lot at work yesterday, with pretty lumpy cams and a throaty exhaust, and I'm pretty sure it's rear tires weren't quite that wide.

Also, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO A SPORTBIKE? I bet that thing chatters like nothing else in the corners.

I understand the idea BEHIND stretching a 'Busa, if you're going to take it to the dragstrip. For normal riding, the stock swinger is better. You know, because it retains the motorcycle's ability to turn. Which is what it's designed for. The paint does look neat. More than the swing arm, my bigger beef with that photo is the fact that the dude riding it is in ZERO safety gear. That shit is just plain stupid.

Wow. I'm some what local to this. Don't worry, I won't be there. Nothing good comes out of city rides. It literally equates to 3 dirt bikes to 1 road bike anymore. Not legal here. Then people run from the cops, shut down highways, bikes get stolen, fights break out, and it DOES reflect very poorly on motorcycles.
I loose on both ends as I prefer off road to my zx. So for me to trailer my quad it's already bad. No help from the street dirtbikers that just wheelie and terrorize the community.
I'm about an hour from Philly and 30 minutes from NYC. So yes I've seen it all and know exactly what goes on.

I've spent enough time on crappy online forums, that I can actually parse that in a readable fashion. It's kinda sad, really.

Anyone know where the proceeds go yet?

I'm still holding out hope for wounded warriors or children's cancer research.

The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'

The only time a leader should use the word "I" is in the sentence "I have to shit"

Wounded warrior is not a good fund. I'll find a link that shows how they decide up the donations.
It's crazy how much they make before it even gets donated out.

Please do source that. I would hate to think that my donations are lining to you somebody's pocket and helping people I believe it is our duty to help.

Any alternatives you know of?
