Central Kentucky here.......but I often ride through southern Kentucky on rural roads, coming into Tellico Plains, Townsend or sometime Johnson City.

Nothing better than riding with a few friends in the grip of a shared obsession.

Ya'll can ride year round down there, so don't act like the season is "coming" haha. I lived in murfreesboro for a bit before I decided to move back to NY. Miss the weather and the lack of potholes.

I guess maybe compared to NY it may seem like we can ride year round, but we can't do that. More than NY yes but not year round...lol

I mean, I don't know the specifics of your town, but around nashville you can definitely ride year round. Maybe not every single day, but I bet there isn't a two week stretch of the year where you couldn't ride reasonably comfortably at least once. I'll be out once the salt is off the road and it hits the 50s around here, so your idea of riding weather down there may be where the discrepancy is lol.

I have heated gloves, heater thermals and decent riding gear that helps with wind.
its all about dressing for it.

i absolutly ride every month every year, i count that much.

just gets old with everyone coming up to you to tell you how cold it is out -_-

^^riding is all about the preparation....

Good planning opens up a lot of opportunity.

When your gear is better than the weather, it just comes down to traction.

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "
