Yea been looking into alot of all mesh textile ones but want get some ideas before i buy it. Dont want to screw my self by getting one that wont work for what i need.

Looked into alot of textile ones but not sure on how they would perform down here, Sitting at stop lights in FL is were you will feel the heat in no time. Any cool air from driving just disapears within seconds. Feels like the oven is right in front of you on 500 and you cant move.

Shift Air Avenger Mesh Jacket - RevZilla

Example. Mine is black, and I love it.
all black is the problem, Black soaks up the heat, Something with a light color across the shoulders & back will not be nearly as hot.

True... But, being mesh already, its not that bad.
MILES ahead of my textile, or leather

I'm the forum troll. No doubt about it.

I like that shift one the black/white is neat, was looking at these for icon ones.

Icon Overlord Type 1 Jacket - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore

But not sure if they would perform good and also on the air flow for the overlord so. But hey its good to shop around!

All the jackets i have looked at are nice but i want get some ideas on what would work best for air flow and protection and to look good too? I like the icon ones alot but not sure if would be good or what.

Also looking into a helmet for same reason, air flow one i have is nice but its really loud and the visor has mad air coming in. Have a exo1000 speed and strength.
I live in Mobile, AL which has the same weather like yours hot in the summer somewhat cold in the winter. I wear the Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0. it has a removable liner for me I can wear it in 100 degree weather without the liner and I can wear it in 30 degree weather with the liner on and a short sleeve shirt under.

and Leather is a negative because once May-September comes you will regret it.

Hm well that sucks, went to look at the shift jacket again too see if any were in stock and find out the item is not listed on the site or any others. Seems it is no longer made or just no one has them.

Go with any ICON textile or mesh like previously stated. I love mine in cold or hot conditions.

Being that I am one state above you we somewhat get the same weather. My Icon contra has done me well in cold weather. Haven't tried it in the warm yet as I recently bought it, but the liner comes out and hopefully will suit me well in the hot GA summers.

I can still feel wind now flowing thru so if it flows like that during the summer I'll be good

I had this arguement about a month ago.... I have a perf leather and a Textile jacket... I feel safer in my pref overall, but it breathes like vicks vapor when its cold... my textile is great /w or w/o the liner.

I do like the icon overlord type 1, but im not sure on how much air its going to breath which for me is the biggest thing. I looked into the contra looks really nice and has nice padding, the hooligan looks awesome i just dont want to but it for its looks.

Guess im just trying to get the best bang for my buck, dont really want to buy another for a few, Have a kid on the way too so money will be short for me to buy such things.

+1 for the Icon Contra. I picked mine up when I bought the bike, and it was a great jacket until about November. Because of how much mesh is on the jacket, its not very good when temps are below 40, and can really soak up water if you're in the rain, but I'm sure jacket shopping in FL is considerably different that it is for me in WA. I've since added a cheap bilt waterproof jacket to get through the winter and spring, and looking forward to going back to the Icon once we start to dry out.

wore my contra when it was 2* and I was fine. I had a long sleeve shirt and a t shirt on under the contra. My mistake... wearing my icon justice textile gloves. I can say they breath excellent. Hands were freezing up in no time. Hope they stay this breezy in the summer time
