I'll play... HJC RPS-10

Pros:

-Pretty cool looks
-EXTREMELY light, you won't even notice it on your head after a while
-MotoGP helmet (Ben Spies)
-Pinlock and Tear-off capable
-Really nice locking shield mechanism
-Easy peasy shield changing
-One of the only lids that fits my melon well
-Relatively inexpensive to others in its category
-Cuts through wind really well

Cons:

-Shield will fog like a MOTHER if you don't use the pinlock
-Having pinlock in restricts vertical view
-Venting only really works in a tuck
-Adjustable vent wheels are excessive
-Strap feels a little cheap
-Padding may not be as plush as other premium brands
-No locked "cracked open" position or otherwise
-Locking mechanism takes a little getting used to, but it's worth it

Love my helmet though. If anyone knows of another lid that fits your head the same as this one let me know. Only others I've heard of are maybe some Shark models or the Bell Star?

I have a Arai Profile. Hands down the best helmet I've ever owned.

Pro's

Fantastic ventalation
Relatively quiet
Unbelievable comfy
A quality helmet
Deployable chin foil that works
Con's

Always feels like I'm going to break it when I change shields out.
A little on the heavy side.

Suomy Spec 1R Gedea replica.

Pro's
very, very light
Looks, its the flashyest helmet I've ever had
It is comfy but not a comfy as my Arai

Con's

A bit on the loud side
Shield removal
Good air flow but you can only control the front vent.

I also have a HJC CL-15 in black. I would not care if it fell fifty stories and exploded. I have nothing nice to say about it.

Gp tech is great I have one and a agv grid. Rossi 5 continents and a sun and moon. Both are great. Gp is a tighter fit then the grid. Comfort wise I prefer them over my rf1100. Very Comfortable. Gp tech is loud and has a narrow view vertically. Rf1100 flows a lot less air. Is a bit quieter but has a much larger view. Almost too much with the sun setting and no visor tint.

I have a icon alliance I like it for the.price. everyone has hit on it.

Sweet someone replied! lol I appreciate the info!

Aww the GP is still loud? How loud compared to the Alliance? Because that's what I have and I was hoping the GP would be more quieter since the price is up there...

Shoei X12

Pros:
Snell rating.
Five shell sizes.
Face shield comes on and off easily.
Good air flow.
Nonpinlock shield defogs very quickly.
Emergency check pad release.
Weather proof face shield.
Locking and cracked face shield positions.
Killer aerodynamics.

Cons.
Fucker it tight as hell, took a season to break in. I still have issues getting it on with over an inch of steel in my ears.
Chin vent blows into your eyes too much at high speeds.
Intake could be a bit better, I think it exhausts heat better than it in takes.
Its a bit loud.
Could be a bit lighter.
If your locking cheek plate breaks your aerodynamics are fucked and lost.

I have a Bell RS1 and Bell Stars - all of them are awesome helmets with very good build quality and attention to detail (the RS1, perhaps, the best of them?)

But the Arai Corsair V's I have are flawless from front to back, side to side...AND they allow for my glasses - the Bells don't

Pros - air flow, build quality, comfort, allowance for eye glasses (I can't wear contacts), aesthetically and mechanically I have zero complaints

Cons - expensive, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" totally applies

My Bells are very good, but the Arais are outstanding

I Have 3 Helmets My first was a

Shoei good for street riding and it is a Reliable company
Completely Terrible for track ( and I am only talking about My experience ) i have found that, I have many blind spots from the thick cushioning when looking through my Corners , an other thing is the cushion on the for head that makes u feel that ur looking out from a Box, Air flow not as good as u think, as far as this Goes i will never by a shoei again . I should also say this is an Old shoei Helmet an 08 , so I dont know how the New one's are..

The best one that i have found Super for track 100% , very Wide windshield super light weight, Perfect air flow front to back , washable inside out , shock resistance , perfect all the way around is what u see in the Picture . Make sure it is the X 802

Hop this Helped

It's a different kind of loud. You are flowing 10 times the air your gonna have more air flow noise. You always have ear plugs any higher end makes noise

I find the EXO 700's to be a bit heavy but they are tanks when it comes to protection. I highsided in one... landed on my head and got no injuries. As a perk, they smell like treats when you put them on brand new.

I've owned the Dahlia (twice):

And the gloss black 700 as well. My biggest complaint was the weight... it wasn't terrible but my neck was a bit sore after long periods of riding full tuck.

Arai is definitely the lightest helmet I've ridden in, but it is just too overpriced for what it is. Plus it's a pain in the ass to get those panels on properly and as a result, I had my shield blow off at 90 while going down the freeway. Talk about a rude awakening. I'm really surprised that they haven't changed that.

Shoei is definitely my favorite. For my head type I've really enjoyed the snug fit of their helmets. The air flow is good, the wind drag is minimal and the shields are easy to change. Plus, it doesn't feel flimsy nor too heavy.

The Icon alliance felt like tissue paper, fit poorly (loose in the wrong areas) and was noisy. I would probably never invest in an Icon helmet, to be honest.

Currently I'm rockin a Shark RS1:

I don't like the profile of it, and it is noisy as HELL, but I was really impressed with it when I bought it. Very little drag at high speeds but the ventilation is useless. I probably won't go back to Shark.

Sorry I don't have more pics. I'm boring.

Scorpion EXO-500 CA$209-$240

Best helmet I've bought to date. Love the inner visor so now I don't have to drag along a tinted and clear visor. Fits incredibly comfortable, but like all Scorpion helmets you have to buy 1 size up. I'm usually a medium but a large fits me perfectly.

Less noisy then my old HJC helmet and MUCH MORE AIR FLOW. This helmet rocked in the summer.. pop open the top air vents and feel the air rush over your head.. wind tunnel tested!

My only issues with this helmet is due to its extra built in visor, they had to build the plastic up a bit more on the top so the helmet is thicker on the top which slightly obstructs your view when you are in full tuck position.. Not much, but enough to be a little annoying. Plus with all of its features, its a little heavier than most helmets at its price range.

Overall I give this helmet a solid 8.5/10.. You have to try it on to see how comfortable it is!

O'Neal Racing Tirade Bluetooth Helmet $329

This helmet is a piece of crap. Within a month of owning it the top vent cover flew off the helmet as did the label on the bluetooth button. The padding would always detach and never stayed in place. The bluetooth was basically crap as well. Not going to get into all the details but it wasn't very reliable at all.

Hey johnny, I don't suppose you've tried on the RPS-10? I've heard the profile is the Arai that fits closest to that head shape. Most Arais I find to be too roundish, but the Profile is supposed to be more narrow right?
