Just picked up a Arai Vector 2 . The fit is perfect but is kind of tight on the cheeks but i havent broken it in yet. Got tired of buying helmets every year because of the noise. As much as it cost, this better be the last one for awhile.

HJC helmet saved my life in my wreck, or at least my pretty face.

My next will be the Icon Lucky Lid I have wanted since I have owned a bike.

First helmet I bought was an AFX FX90, horrible helmet. The airflow sucked, visors were a pain to change, and the fit was bad (seemed like it squashed my forehead) even though it was the correct size.
Next helmet was a shoei qwest, I love this thing. Got it with the gold mirrored visor and a clear one. The visors for these are quite expensive, but the clarity on them is amazing. Helmet is relatively quiet, seems light, and the pads are super plush. Airflow is good, although it fogs very easily when its chilly out.

Re: Helmet review thread!

My first helmet I got was the top dead center blue ss700 helmet from speed and strength and for the price ($85) its incredibly light and comfortable. Visors a bitch to change it supposed to be easy but Idk if I'm retarded or what.

Shoei X12-Vermulen

Size Med purchased, fit is outstanding, i have a very round head. Car helmets i wear a Large

Pros-
Fit is great
feels light
Good visibility with/without glasses
Aero works well at speed
High quality workmanship,finish and decals/paint
Nice to know it has emergency extract system

Cons
Very loud
Except for for chin vent, all other vents are very awkward to use.
Not as much airflow as i had hoped, esp for noise levels

All in all, very happy with it at the heavily discounted price i paid with bike purchase, New at $900+ i probably wouldn't purchase another unless i REALLY fell for graphics

Corsair V's. the peripheral views of this thing is vast. Huge difference over my previous shoei rf-1000. Vents nicely and the limited edition TT helmets are unique & hard to come by.

Cons are that they are probably the most expensive helmets out there but i wouldnt wear it unless it was real comfortable.

I bought an airframe a while ago. I bought a large when I'm usually a medium and it fit well. The ventilation is good. I also have a shoei rf-1100 and a scorpion exo700. I can say it vents better than the scorpion and better than the shoei when the visor is up. I hated riding with the shoei with the visor up because it blocks the eyebrow vents. I dont understand the design of the rf-1100. But the airframe is a good helmet, icon is known for its graphics and this helmet is no exception. I have the apocalypse graphic. Its light and in head checks you don't even notice it. I ride with a gopro attached to the helmet every time I ride and I don't notice it. Its very stable and light. I'm thinking of getting and icon variant. Anybody with input for that or deals for it?

Had a beautiful Bell Star Viper - comfortable, worked well with the glasses, got it on closeout for $200! and chicks dug the snake, but like others have said, loud from tons of air flow. It gave its life for me when I crashed face-first onto the pavement during a high-side event.

Bought a follow on Bell Star - works well for me - still comfortable, good air flow, but loud.

Have a Shark RSI - narrow profile for the long oval heads, but I don't think the lining is too comfortable so I don't wear it too often.

Just bought an AFX FX-95 - suprisingly good for a $100 helmet. Lining is comfortable, its quiet enough, and enough air flow to keep my head relatively cool on warm track day.

My son has a Scorpion EXO-400 - its a piece of sh**. Uncomfortable, finish is poor - even he is tired of it and wants a new one.
