Man your defensive. That post was directed at Alex mostly. It wasn't about your HJC helmet at all. If you read, the second post in this thread was me saying you got a good deal and the RPHA-10 was a good helmet from everything I've heard.

Hey Nat, I'm not sure if I came across as attacking you because I didn't see it that way and didn't post it that way. I was just talking about more expensive helmets in general, I don't think I was replying or rebutting any of your points. Not sure how you saw it as a defensive post since I basically agreed that for the price, there's no way I could justify paying Arai what they are asking for. Again, I was basically agreeing with what you posted.

I actually purchased the same helmet for $450 in 2013. Would love to get another one for the $199 price. What site are going too, to purchase this helmet?

thanks. However, they don't have a medium. I currently have a large, which is a bit to big for me. Damn, next time.

The last one I had was a Quantum E which lasted about 3 years before it wore out and started to fall apart. After 3 years I had worn holes in both cheek pads and all to the trim had fallen off the bottom rim of the shell. Plus the shield never did seal all that great on the eye port gasket. The paint and finish of the shell however was by far the best I've ever seen in a helmet. But for the price I was very disappointed in the product after it wore out.

I've got a number of Shoei helmets that are far better in my opinion. The paint and finish of the shell is just a notch below the Aria. But they fit me better, they are quitter, they last MUCH longer, the shields fit much better.

I would never give Arai the money they are asking for their product again.

Good to know about your experience. Thanks for sharing. For me, maybe it's an Asian thing? The Arai just fit me so much better than the Shoei.

I used to feel that way as stated I was a Shoei guy but for $140, the CL-17 is a decent helmet especially at that price. Now the Rpha-10 is a whole different beast. There's no way you could try on a RF1200 or a Corsair and say that it is infinitely or even noticeably better. As they say, try it before you knock it. As noted, I was hesitant to try the Rpha1 because it's made by HJC but it was between that and the RS1 since the 1200 didn't fit right. I will say this much, you WILL NOT FIND A BETTER FEELING HELMET UNDER $200 let alone $300 assuming it fits you well. Look at the satisfaction rate on RevZilla. 197 out of 198 recommended the helmet and it received an overall score of 4.8 out of 5.
