I run the sidi vortice airs and the Z custom leathers.

sidi: Not the best walking boot for sure. Kind of grab your coffee and go riding again type of boot.

The TCX looks good, but I was not impressed with the sharp external edges of the boot. Just more things to snag in the event of a tip over at speed I think.

Z custom leathers: Comfortable, yes. Protection, from roadrash or sunburn yes. Zero twist protection of the ankle in a tip over.

Stable rides: I love stable rides

Bought some Sidis a few months back. Love them. I believe I went with the Venom? It's the one with the ankle brace. A bit hard to get used to but now I feel more confident.

i love my Sidi vertigo's because of the adjustable back piece i find they fit over my fat calves and leathers (unlike most other boots), because theyre italian they do tend to run a little small so ive gone up a couple of sizes bigger than i normally have for a better fit

the best thing to do is go to a shop with a lot of choice and try loads of boots on to find a good comfortable fit, then buy on line for the best deal

I have the Dianese TR-Course Out and love them but I have a narrow foot. Not too hot and pretty light but haven't walked in them too much.

I have some Sidi Vortice Air's and they are hardcore. Very solid and good quality. They do make a fair bit of noise though when you are walking around. Like a plate suit of armour.

I just recently bought some Dainese Torque In D1's and they are good. Comfy but I ride on the balls of my feet and I can feel the peg more in this boot then the Sidi's. It got a little uncomfortable after awhile at the track but thats me nitpicking. I would still recommend them.

I wear the Dainese course out and also the Sidi ST air's
Both offer excellent feel and fit. I wear a 13.5 and they are so comfortable. The course out are easier to put on. The Sidi's, all the parts are replaceable. That's nice.

My SMX PLUS Alpinestars boots are pretty solid and I think I paid $260 through motostorm.

I use the TCX on the street. The materials has torn and come away, so resoling (if it were an option) wouldn't matter.

I've used both Sidi and A* and find them quite comparable. I'd choose either largely depending on style and cost.

Agree on the Dainese being a bit narrow; I have E size feet.

I used to run only Sidi but after wearing A* and then TCX, the Sidi are just too damn heavy. They feel like my feet are encased in lead. Great I guess if you get run over but I don't get anywhere near the feel and feedback from them that I do with the other two.
