Anyone tried the Icon Airmada?

I'm looking into buying a new helmet. I really like the look of the Icon Airmada. My current helmet is an old Scrpion EXO750. I like to ride in a 3/4-full tuck on the highway and this helmet hates it. My jacket hits the back of the helmet and it gets a good amount shaking with the slightest hint of a cross wind. Can the Airmada handle being in full with out any issues?

I love icon helmets. I have been using their Airframe helmets for years. Went from Airframe 2 to Airframe carbon RR to airframe carbon pro. The pro is the nicest helmet I've ever worn and I use them all for track use and they've all been great. Only went down on one but the helmet did what it was supposed to.

I believe the Airmada is a more of a bargain version of the Airframe, therefore I would expect it to be less quality and not have as many features.

Also, Icon helmets are NOISY. That is my only complaint about them but you have to expect that. They let A LOT of air in the helmet to keep your head cool. So you pay the price in air noise if you prefer that. They also never fog up for me unlike some helmets which are quieter and push less air

So if you want a helmet that pushes a lot of air through, the air models of ICon are great helmets. If you dislike noisy helmets, you won't like them. But if you wear earbuds or headphones that act as such, you won't mind if you like air moving around the helmet.

I'm a ear plugs guy myself. Wind is catching the top of the visor on my Scorpion and filling my face with all kinds of wind. I'd LOVE the construct Airframes but the price point on the "older" graphics Airmadas is just too good to pass up.

My girl has the spaztyk airmada in green, the only complaint she has made is the typical icon noisy helmet. I think if icon offered a chin curtain for this helmet it would cut that noise down ten fold. My last helmet was an alliance and i loved it. They do offer a chin curtain for this model and it's nowhere near as noisy. Her helmet is loud enough it keeps the mic triggered on our sena smh10r's. I went to the shoei rf1200 this year and i'm in love....this helmet is basically silent compared to any icon ever made!

My experience with icon is its pretty noisy not to bad, but my airframe didn't flow air for shit and it buffed it the wind terribly. I've seen the new model of the airframe that has a notch in the back so it gives more clearance for jackets and speed humps in the tuck position. I haven't tried one on or used it, but heard good things about it.

The "stack" graphics Airmadas are selling for $116 new on eBay now. I went ahead and bought one. I'll find out how well it works when it gets here. Thanks for the input.

I've got an Airmada and like it. With the vents open its pretty loud, and the cheek pads take some getting used to, for me anyways. It's a nice helmet for the money and is fairly cool, again with the vents wide open.

I've heard of people saying they don't like the way it fits their head, however mine fits nice and snug. I'd suggest at least trying it on to see if you like the fit.

The Airmada was a little looser than I like. I ended up getting the LS2 Arrow.
