X-lite 802R

How come these aren't sold in the United States? A 2.7 lbs that's a LIGHT helmet. They go for about $450 shipped and are on par with $1,000 helmets here. They're even made in Italy... Dead sexy too with the full carbon fiber shell. I think I'll be picking one up for my next helmet ...

My bell star carbon feels super light and awesome on my head and it's 3.4 lbs roughly. I can't even imagine how great and light a 2.7 lb helmet would be

It looks pretty similar to the icon alliance helmet. Looks good though. The manufacturer is actually Nolan.

If they don't jump thru DOT certification hoops, no Seee-gar. And it's Very time consuming & expensive to do so. Nolan would have to seriously consider their market share against other established manufacturers.

I have the Nexx XR1R Carbon and its 1219 grams (2.687 lbs). It feels really light. I'd imagine this feels similar. I still have it but stopped using it as my daily helmet as it is cumbersome to switch the visor if I end up leaving work when its going to get dark on the ride home. I switched to the Nexx XT1 which is 1400 grams (3.086 lbs). Still feels very light but has an internal smoke visor which means I don't have to carry a clear visor for night riding. Both have DOT ratings. They are rather hard to find here though.

I was looking at this helmet again and it seems amazing. The look is awesome, super lightweight. And half the cost of bell
