Ouch my ears!

I've been commuting more on my bike lately. The past couple days I've had some errands to run so i have been going on and off with my helmet several times in a row. My ears are killing me! It's like they fold in half every time the helmet comes off. I look like an idiot trying to pull my head out of it while pulling my ears out to try to save some pain. Ugh.

Get a skull cap with moisture wicking.
Will help keep helmet funk down and hold your ears in. It's a two'fer.

Most helmets offer different pads to adjust fit..
... thinner than stock on the neck roll may help.

"Basic stuff fellas. Use your head for something other than to break your next fall."

"There's this adage that we have 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we talk. Unfortunately with the Internet people have taken this old adage and turned it around. They have two eyes and 10 fingers so they think they need to post 5 times as much as they read. And since they have 10 fingers and one brain, they only have to think 10% of the time! "

I always take my straps and pull them outwards before and while taken off my helmet.

My RF1200 felt like it was scraping my ears off my head when it was new. It was actually painful to take off, but it fit so well I dealt with it.

After a few weeks, that went away.

This. Though, I use a bandana and cover the tops of my ears with it. Mostly to keep from dislodging my ear buds as I put my helmet on. In the winter, I use a balaclava instead if its cold out.

I guess I'll get a scull cap. It is a RE-1200 and it fits awesome but the ear thing sucks. Going on is fine, just pull the straps out and pull it on, but off is terrible. If I hadn't made fun of all the goobers I see wearing their helmets in stores all these years I'd just leave it on, but now... I can't let them win...
