I just installed some Braketech oversized Axis Ductile Iron full-floaters for my zx6r, and I can't tell any difference from the stock rotors. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement!

I'm sorry to hear that. I have found these rotors - Axis, that is, since I have no experience with iron, I've always used SS - react very different depending upon pad differences. I've never had even fair results with EBC - I realize some people love 'em. I've had good results with Carbone Lorraine and SBS. Yet, I always seem to prefer Brembo pads on the rear brake. Everyone is different.

Brake Tech strongly recommends that their customers use Ferodo pads.

With that said, I have experienced a night and day difference between BT and any other rotors I've ever used - period!

I'm using Ferodo CP1 pads, as recommended by Braketech. I've actually just removed the Braketech rotors and - at least temporarily - switched back the the stock rotors; they actually felt better! I also understand that Braketech approves the use of Ferodo sintered pads on the ductile iron rotors; it just causes more wear. I may try using their XRAC or ZRAC pads as a "last ditch" attempt to be happy with the AXIS ductile iron full floaters. It's weird to me because I had some AXIS iron rotors years ago and I thought I remembered really liking them; however, at that time the pads were Ferodo CP911* or something like that which are no longer produced.
