Over on the FJR forum, you'll see good comments about Gerbing and Warm'n'safe for high-quality 12V heated gear. Gerbing is the older more established brand, but perhaps a little bit more spotty on quality comments. Warmnsafe gets universally high grades.
If you really start loading up on the heated gear though you might want to add an LED voltage gauge. i don't know what the excess alternator output is on the ZX6R's but heated gear can pull a big load, ESPECIALLY if you're already running HIDs.
The '08 FJR I ride has a few hundred extra watts of output but even with that I run only jacket and gloves, and have LED auxiliary lights to avoid too big a load on the electrical system.
But I totally agree - wish I'd added it many years prior - you can run freeway speeds at 25F and its very nice - warm core and hands with a cool wind flowing up under your helmet is like paradise!
