You aren't suppose to mix any water with Engine Ice. It's already premixed.

any1 have any good recommendations for coolant?? i went 2 pepboys n autozone n they all said they werent sure if regular car coolant was good enough since most coolants are for temps up to 200. where as bikes clearly go up 2 240ish.
If your bike is getting that hot, use engine ice. it's premixed and protects up to 256, also keeps your bike running a bit cooler (they claim up to 50 degrees cooler but we know that's bs) but i just flushed my system and the other day and used engine ice and so far so good!

definitely do it soon if you're running that hot...and also maybe toss a manual switch on there for your fan. that's real hot

Dont forget that the radiator cap has two or three rubber seals on it. Part # for the cap is 49085-1066. Or go to autoparts store. If one of the rubber seals isnt sealing properly you may have a problem too. Just throwing it out there. I know a few guys that do the manual fan switch. It's a good idea.

+1 That is one of the common and least expensive places to start. I am also going to do the manual fan switch just cause I like the engine cooler then 220.

No problem if you are talking about the switch. I am thinking of doing this with a relay.

I like to fill and drain it a couple times (It's not like distilled water is expensive) at least, but that is just what tickles my fancy. Nice write up brotha!
