Thanks a lot for this write up! I have been looking everywhere for this. Do you think it would be a viable option to just replace the cap with, for example, a vented Vortex or driven cap? Also, how are you getting around the error codes?

I connected the wires on the EVAP valve harness together and didn't get any codes.

You can stick a 100ohm resistor where the old KLEEN Air valve went and it wont throw a code. or some people block the system but leave the valve connected to the harness.
