STM Slipper Clutch

STM Slipper Clutches are fabricated in anodized aluminum alloy and titanium.

Selected for use by Ducati's World Superbike team, still the best choice for higher horsepower machines.

These are the EXACT Same STM Clutches that have been used by
Ben Bostrom, Noriuki Haga, Franki Chilli, and many other Top Motorcycle Racers worldwide.

What makes STM so good ?

can you double check with STM on the fitment of the 07-13 model zx6r clutch? I believe the 07-12 would be the same but, I know oem wise... the 13-15 have a different clutch.

I want to MAKE SURE this will fit the 13+ as well. (I have a 2013 zx6r 636)

thank you for your time and consideration. Ski

We don't show they cross over.

But, we are going to research this some more and check with STM to see if they can confirm.

appreciate the pm, and follow up here. if they don't crossover, you may want to update your website. the link you posted above shows the 07-13 as the same unit. hope this helps others. I really want an adjustable slipper. I cant believe this unit has been out 3 model years now, and no one makes a slipper for racing applications. Ski

Good news.

We Just got an email back from STM this morning.

They finally confirmed this clutch will fit '07-'15 ZX6

We actually looked back at our sales records, and saw we have actually sold 5 of these to 2013 and 2014 ZX6 Owners over the past year.

Is the STM slipper adjustable in any way? My bike came with one and it feels like it's taking forever to grab after a downshift. It's really smooth, but it's almost too smooth. After a downshift I can just drop the clutch and it feels like nothing happens, like I'm barely getting any engine braking at all, and it takes about 2-3 seconds for it to fully engage again. Not good for corners when you have to downshift and flick it over quick and get back on the gas right away.

Definintely, sounds like something wasn't installed correctly.. or the plates or worn out.
Have you checked the plates ?

Not yet. The bike has only 3300 miles and although I'm not sure when the STM was installed by the previous owner, I know it wasn't right away, so I would guess less than 2000 miles on that clutch.

I know on other clutches, there are multiple options for springs that you can use which provide different levels of slip. Most are advertised as "race springs", "street springs", etc., or high/medium/low slip. I have no idea what's in this one.

.

Be advised, mileage isn't all that important.
You can smoke a clutch in only 100 miles, if you abuse it, or have the clutch lever mis-adjusted..... or the user rides the clutch a lot.....etc..
