I really think I'm going to have to get my vortex set powdercoated black. That looks so sick

You'd be better off buying a set of the black anodized ones.

It wouldn't be worth the effort or cost to disassemble them. Mask the parts that don't get coated, deal with all those threaded holes.

Sell yours and buy a new set.
