Do any of you ladies struggle with people supporting your biking passion? Whether they are people who don't ride and have never understood it or those that ride and don't support you? I'm just curious... so my apologies if this is a dumb thread. I'm the only female sport bike rider in my small town. When I make it up to Fort Wayne there is usually one or two girls.
P.S. Do people ever mention to you...You are like the T-Mobile girl! I say No bitch the T-Mobile girl is like me
My mom is really the only one that doesn't understand and doesn't like it. She got pissed at me when i wrecked it, but didn't care to ask if i was ok. My stepdad is the only one that understands, because he has been riding for years. He teases me that I should have got a "real" bike(he's HD all the way!), but it's just in good fun. All the guys I ride with, support me and some have actually said they were impressed when they rode with me for the first time. We are like family to each other.
I have heard that! It usually comes from people on cruisers. It also doesn't help, that I wear pink gear and have pink rim tape on my bike. lol.
sooo... how old ya? how long you been riding? i always try to get to know the active female riders on here.
I'm 27 and this is my second season. Bought my first bike, 250r, in 2008. I totaled it at the end of that season. Finally been able to afford another, so I got the 08 zx6 this spring. I LOVE IT! I have about 10k seat time total.
I'm surprised your bf is your worst supporter! You would think, he would be happy that you ride your own and can enjoy it with him. If you decide to do a track day in Ohio, let me know! I'm considering doing one myself next season, but don't want to go alone! I don't know where Ft. Wayne is, but I'm only 45 minutes from Richmond. I live in Dayton.
