I'm a woman hear me ROAR!

Do any of you ladies struggle with people supporting your biking passion? Whether they are people who don't ride and have never understood it or those that ride and don't support you? I'm just curious... so my apologies if this is a dumb thread. I'm the only female sport bike rider in my small town. When I make it up to Fort Wayne there is usually one or two girls.

P.S. Do people ever mention to you...You are like the T-Mobile girl! I say No bitch the T-Mobile girl is like me

I'm a girl an I also live in a small town. I've been riding for about a year an a half now an when I first started I had your typical.. "Is that really your bike" "can you really handle that" but most everyone that I was close to, knew that I could handle riding since I grew up riding in the dirt, an on anything I could find. You will always run into that occasional dumbass who says something like "aren't you suppose to be one a 250" and that's when you say.. Dammit this isn't a 250??

I know how you feel, I'm a man & I get little or no support from friends & family.

I live in a small town & while there are bikers right on my street there are only two sport bikes in town. aside from mine.

My family, The one i live with(none blood) they don't like bikes & totally do not understand the passion.
My blood family understand the Passion, They have seen me on bikes for 40+ years.
But they don't ride anymore & don't understand why I still do.
The old guard have all hung up there helmets(all but one) Bobby @ 70ish is still throwing a leg over.

Most of the men on my dads side rode bikes, Years ago we even rode together a lot, Those were special times, Good times.
My dad, My brother(for a short time) Two of my dads brothers & cousin Bobby Dale, The man who started it all way back in the late 60's.
When he pulled into our yard on a Triumph. Iv been hooked ever since.
Thank you Bobby.

My message to you is hang in there young Jedi, The force is with you.
We are with you.
Cultivate your passion, Let it grow. & don't let those who don't feel it get in your way.

Yeah you get it from a few ignorant people...but honestly it's usually guys that don't ride. Mostly I've found the "real" community to be more supportive than anything.

Thanks for taking interest lol! I was so relieved to see the Ladies Room Thread because I am looking to get to know other ladies here!

I will try to make this short: I'm 23...riding since last year I have about 2500 miles under my belt. I have only owned my bike a year exactly about 2weeks ago! Never rode a thing in my life until my zx6. I know my place in riding and I never push myself past my comfort level. My bf has an 07 zx10 and he is my worst supporter. He's the one dragging knees, doing wheelies, and throwing up 2 fingers at me to roll on it with him in 2nd gear. I don't let him push me I stay in the back with other 600's and play with them. He expects me to be at his level when riding. He tells me I need to sell my bike probably once a week, tells me I can't do it, tells me I"m going to die. I just say fuck you. I am seriously considering a track day or two in Ohio to build my confidence in corners. Got my first speeding ticket EVER this summer on my bike lol

I forgot to mention my bf has been on dirt bikes basically since he was born, and has been riding for 6 years and he has "never been down" on his sport bikes. He says he takes calculated risks where I just don't know what the hell I'm doing and he basically thinks I'm going to kill myself.

Thank you! At the end of the day I'm responsible for what makes me happy. Seriously, I have never loved anything as much as I love this. I didn't know it was possible to have a relationship with a machine lmao...but seriously I love her!
