I only considered marriage once and it was because of my old school raising that said you should marry the woman who has your kids even if shes bat shit crazy and attacks you randomly

I've never wanted to be married, Never asked to marry, But I've been married twice.
Three times if you count common law marriage.

How stupid does that make me?

I understand and agree with what you're saying. Maybe I coulda worded what I said a bit better. I'm sure their kids brings them plenty of joy, but in my opinion, that joy is outweighed by the hardships that also comes along with it. In the end, is it worth it? Well for some, yes, for others, probably not. There's a reason why there's so many bad parents out there that abuse, neglect, and who don't really care about their kids. I believe if all parents felt about their kids the way you do, the world would be a much better place, because the root of most problems begins in childhood due to bad upbringing, and then stems throughout their adulthood. Unfortunately not everyone is fit to be a parent, whether you want them or not.

My apologies if some of you took what I said the wrong way. I'm sure there's plenty of people who adore and can't wait to have children of their own. And then there's people like me who have their reasons for not wanting any, and I think both sides are OK

LOL! Well clearly you've never lived until you've dated a psychopath. Shit, why the hell do you think I bought a bike to begin with... I had to get away from his ass somehow and the restraining order just wasn't cuttin it.

Of course... this was MANY years ago. I like to think that he fixated on someone else by now.

Seriously it takes like 4+ yrs of not seeing them for them to finally give up.....Plus you know she was cray cray if she kept chasing after me and I'm a shallow asshole.

Nah, I mean what if they were bat shit insane, prone to attacking you at random, and were fairly fast on a bike. Where would hide?

In my mommies arms.

Honestly I was lucky that she didn't become a violent stalker. She was only violent when we were together. Other than that she was just annoying and would never stop trying to talk to me.
