i installed one on my 04 636 and it only took me like a hr to install and adjust. just make sure you use your factory oring off your old cct and use it on the new ape manual adjuster.

Waiting on mine to turn up and does the bike have to be warmed up then the new ape cct changed or is it better to do it when the bike is cold?

I got one on my 636, sorta of a bitch to change, but not to bad. tooke me about 30-45 mins to do.

Id do it when my bike is cold. dont think itd be such a good idea to be reaching into the engine area after running it. temps might be a lil hot n you could burn yur fingers/knuckles fumbling around in there.

arron, How did your install go? I'm about to order an APE for my bike.
Did you have to remove the carbs? In sure Ill need to remove the tank & air box.
Just not sure about the carbs.??

Also has anyone else done this on a J model?

No I didn't have to take the carbs off.. I used a socket with a uni/bendy bit andnall was good.. Sounds heaps better.. I got a black ape cct cos I didn't mind what color cos you can see it. Yer just tank and airbox is all I took off..

I'm getting it from APE, the one they show for my bike is black.
I saw lots of blue ones for other models.
