Can't get bike to higher RPM's

Ok got a 07 zx6 and recently the bike won't go past 10,000 rmps, could this be to a spark plug issue or maybe a fuel pump issue I have heard both and wondering if any others ha e had similar problems.

You may be a good rider, but I am a great rider and you will never be the rider I am!

Is it cutting out past 10000 or will it just not go past 10000?

It's not cutting out but it is bogging bad and won't go past it, not every time but about 90% of the time, if it does go past it has no problems but I'm losing half my power band and I ride with some hard core types and can't keep up so quite aggravating. Any ideas?

I was reading fast bikes the other day, a guy with an 04 said his bike was bucking at 10k. So he checked and changed everything, plugs, fuel tank and pump all sorts. In the end the problem was the vibrations at 10k and over were causing the kick stand engine cut off to sort of kick in and out. A few people have had similar problems so if this isnt the answer you might wanna try the fuel pump, plugs etc, but check that sensor on the kick stand first.

I had an issue that sounded kinda like this with a previous bike, it turned out to be a blown head gasket though. It couldn't keep in the pressure exerted at those higher RPMs and just wouldn't go past a certain point. However, should the RPMS go up bike the bikes power does not and just stays the same it is most likely the clutch cable needs adjusting at the motor.

Boggng Down and Wont go past 13k RPMs. so far so good.

UPDATE: I got the coils. This time when I checked my original coils I got 1.4 on all four prong to prong. Then I checked left prong to bottom of the coil and got 9.4 on the coils and 8.6 on coil in question(they were sitting out all night out of the bike). 8.5 is lowest point of the range. Installed only one ebay coil. Swapped out the one in question at cylinder #4(one all the way on the right if your sitting on the bike) Warmed the bike up. Took it out for ten minutes. No studder at all. And in 1st gear I was able to get to 16000 rpm. I think I got it. We'll see in the next few days. Who's smarter than their bike now. Me! My bike is still a bitch though until it proves me wrong again.

Ride GREEN or don't ride at all.
