I didn't think the 6R had timing retardation....even if it does, 140 bucks for 2hp??

Hi,

I bought one of these a few months back in the UK, but haven't actually fitted it as yet.

Apparently is simply 'fools' the ECU into thinking that the bike is running in 5th or 6th gear where the full power map and no retardation is used, when the bike is still in 1st -4th etc.. Thus giving you the full power engine map in all the gears.
The effect lessens as you go up the gears, but on my 07 it's supposed to give another 9/10 down to 5-6 horsepower in the first 4 gears.

If i fit it. I'll let you know!

Seat cowl, Powerbronze Carbon Hugger, Carbon heel guards, ASV levers, Sprint SXC Damper, R&G Tail Tidy.

I don't know how much power commanders are over there, but it's probably a much better buy to get one of them even if you just use a generic map off the internet rather than going to the dyno.

I Ride: 09' Monster Edition ZX6r - SOLD
I apologize for bring an old post back to life, but figured rather than making another post regarding this.. I recently changed my gearing -1/+2 and am looking at a Speedohealer V4 and also so the X-Tre, are they worth it to buy or nah? Just looking for more input on this regardless I am going to get a speedohealer, no need to rack up unnecessary mileage on the bike and not knowing my actual speed.

Thanks in advance!
