Afternoon,
I purchased a set of Gilles chain adjusters off a guy on fleabay, just tried to fit them and its clear they are not for my model ZX6 P7F 2007.
They fit into the swingarm fine but the diameter of the hole in the adjusters is clearly too small to fit the rear spindle/axle.
They guy is being an idiot and saying that he took them off of his 07 which is clearly bs. The diameter of the hole is approx 21mm. I was wondering if anyone with an 05-06 or an 09-10 know the diameter of theirs or could measure it for me. Either way it looks like I will have to sell them on but unlike the asshole who sold them to me I don't want to sell them on without knowing exactly which model they are for and causing someone else wasted time and dissapointment like I have just experienced.
I did look to see if I could find the diameter of those models rear spindle/axle but had no luck.
These are the ones in question. Home :: KAWASAKI ZX-6R C (636cc) 05-06 :: Chain Adjusters :: Chain Adjuster - Black :: Calsport - Power Parts, Accessories and Spares.
Pic just to give you some idea, the ones I have are without the lifters, these aren't the actual ones though.
thanks in advance for any help
Lee

The link is just to show what I'm talking about, the ones I purchased I was told were for 07-08 but they came with no packaging. What I am trying to find out is the diameter of 05-06 and 09-10 so I can see what model they are for.
I have emailed Gilles noting the part number on the back of the adjusters but as yet have had no reply.
Thanks though
Lee

Why dont you just take them to a machine shop and if the hole is too small ask them to enlarge it. Still sucks bigtime. Give the dick bad feedback. Probl be.cheaper the.machine.shop.route than to spend time energy and $ with this. Good luck man

Have you tried googling the part number, or stick up on here as you can sometimes tell from the p/n what the bike it is for. for an 05 it is GILKTS-ZX636C-G for gold ones.

Yeah tried that Steve, no joy.
Part number is FU ZXT00B, well that is what is on the back of the adjusters.

That P/N looks like it's for the particular part of the adjusters that it is stamped too as you can buy spares for them and not the entire adjusters.

The spindle/axle has to sit in a straight edged section on the r/hand adjuster which would also need milling out. A lot more complex than just making the hole bigger.
