But you do need some slack.
Iv been thinking of doing the zip tie mod or getting the aftermarket part.
Ive thought about it maself since I have gotten better at clipping during downshifts. It pisses me off when I go to blip and I get nothing because of the play. Then the next time i blip too much because I may not be in the play area that much.

Erm all over the place .Euston, essex are my main residence but when my leg heals I'll go up ace more used to go most fridays.

Ealings not far from me used to rent a bike from some guy there and I passed my test there.

soon to do the mod myself

after seeing thictures on the net i fully understand how this works now

I think i will take the PVC route and make a groove (if required)

After suffering a badly broken wrist (football)((Soccer for for some of you) i do not have full movement in it so this is a big requirement for me

Bit of slack in the throttle, means the cables aren't always under tension and not too tight so less chance of one snapping.
