I'm done until Joey gets here Sunday. I'll be riding it to the track on Monday with a little luck! | Glad to see your bike back up and running bro. Let me know if you heading to the track Tomorrow, I might be able to head out there and chill for a bit if I get out early from work.

So she is running great! WOOHOO!!
Today is my birthday and it's been pretty much the best damn birthday I've ever had! Roomies cooked me breakfast.. I got tons of texts and calls from friends and family and I'm off to go have a nice home cooked dinner from the little lady!
Best thing was getting the call from Fred Cummings Motorsports here in town offering me a full time position in sales! I'll be selling Kawi's, Zuki's, Honda's and Polaris! Pretty much the best damn thing I could have hoped for!
Today I started tearing apart the original motor and will soon get the real diagnosis on the actual reason for the failure.
Here is the progress. As of now I'm stuck as I need to get a Torx set and borrow M.o.M's impact wrench to get some more of the parts off before cracking the case open.
Got her set up to start pulling the shit off...
Found this little broken piece of aluminum ... not sure where it came from... probably gonna find out the more I get apart.
Oil pump, starter and other bits are off...
Clutch plates removed..
Everything nicely bagged up and organized.
Oil pan off.. |

Happy Bday and thanks for the great thread. Too bad you had to grenade a engine for it to happen.

Good to see your making progress PG, & Happy B-day.
In the first pic, I noticed the position of the oil filter, I did not know it sat in such a location on the 09s.
Now this has got to be the best of all,...
Quoting you here>>>"As of now I'm stuck as I need to get a Torx set and borrow M.o.M's impact wrench to get some more of the parts off before cracking the case open." WOW!
Must be nice to have such a sweet & capable lady, Cook you B-day meals & loan you tools too. !
Iv never even had the pleasure of knowing a woman who had her own tools, Let alone one who had more than myself.
You must be doing something right PG.
