2009 zx6r smoke from exhaust

ok,I started her up today, mostly cause I was bored and miss her, and noticed, after i let her warm up and I rev'd her a bit, smoke from the exhaust (M4)... not all the time, just at top of RPM's, I geuss thats the best way to say it..

Only rev'd it 2-3 times, and it has been 3 weeks since i last had it running, and it is fairly chilly out... There is stabil in the tank, and she is up on stands (Doubt this matters but thought I would throw it in there)..

SO, the smoke kinda smelt (sp?) like oil a bit, with possibly a blueish tinge...I didn't notice anything like this on my old bike, but is this normal? again, I let it run for 15 mins or so, and at idle nothing was coming out of the pipe, only at top of rev.

I have the warranty till end of June, and doubt its anything serious, but am again bored and figured I'd throw it out here..

Thanks

I think it has something to do with the Sta-bil. I have/had stabalizer in my tank and if i rev'd her way up i could get some smoke out of her. I dont think the stabalizer burns well in the cylinder. Just my .02

I would says likely the Stabil that is causing that. You could always drain it, replace with fresh fuel and see what you get from there.

Mostly to keep fuel fresh as I do not drain tank and system. Just easier lol

I used it when I winterized my bike one winter. But after a few warm days it seemed like a waste to keep re-adding it after I'd ride. Now I just ride year around, well, whenever the temps go above 45. Fortunately we've had some crazy warm days this winter.

mine stays dormant for about 5 months and its always good to go. you must have some strange fuel over there

Lol, first FI bike, so doing what they suggested... probably didn't need it for 3-4 months, but what the hell

From what I've read you guys have a better grade of gasoline than we have. Might have a little to do with it.
