I know that high beams need to be instant and HIDs have a warm up period. How many of you are running them on both?

Yes. Right side light is low and right is high I believe. I like both sides to match and why not? Thats just what high beam is for, so you can see further/better. Why not make it as bright as possible?

If you get the proper projectors and retrofit them. You can have your low beam plug light both lights and your high beam plug move both shutters in a dual bi-xenon setup. I plan to do that this summer.

I was mostly referring to how a lot of people run a halogen on the high beam due to the readiness of a halogen. I use my high beam to signal other drivers at times (such as a 4 way stop) and you can't necessarily flick your high beams when you have HID's.
My Acura has HID's on low beams and halogen on high beams as do many cars.

There is also a bulb cover on the inside of the low beam housing that prevents it from shining into peoples faces as opposed to the high beam that doesn't appear to have this bulb cover.
