So I'm trying to do the dual headlight mod and I have the headlights out and got the little cone out. Now all that's left is wiring everything up, I also have the h4 bulbs and harnesses and relay. I would appreciate it if someone could help me with the wiring part. The write up wasn't that easy to read.

I'm doing a wiring loom on my bike next week when all my parts arrive.
If you tell me what your trying to do I can give you pointers as well as a little diagram for simplicity?

hi. i was going to do the headlight mod but my mechanic told me it was a bad idea because the light that is only meant to be full beam wont have the focus and direction when on low beam and could possibly make it fail its MOT. any truth behind this? i think the dual headlights do look much better but dont want to hack the healight apart because once its done, its done, and have my MOT next month
Thanks

There are ways to do it, like putting projectors in or what I did swap out the 6r headlight and mold the 09 R1 headlight into a upper track fairing.

The reason bikes usually only have 1 headlight on is because with 2 headlights a bike looks like a car that is further away at night. Because our lights are smaller and closer together, it's hard for some people to judge the distance and they assume it's a car with plenty of room for them to pull out.

I went ahead and did it. I'm not sure what a MOT is, but if its an inspection then it doesn't matter for me. Oklahoma got rid of inspections. And actually, if you want to change it back you can, I kept my stock bulbs and harness so if I want to change it back I can splice it together.

That's why we have to be defensive riders and be prepared for the unexpected.
