What are the must do's when putting a bike back on the road? What should be checked, cleaned, replaced or etc...

I know adjusting tire pressure is a must..esp if the bike has been sitting for some time. What else?

As in back from sitting over winter or back from repair?

Lights (front & back), high & low beams, signals & bulbs, brake switches working (front & back), tire condition, chain condition, horn, oil, coolant, brake fluids, brake pads, throttle & clutch cables, kill switch, clutch sensor, kick stand sensor............essentially......EVERYTHING.

So If I dont have much experience working on bikes its best I bring it to a shop??

Nah....what I have stated above are things you should CHECK to make sure they are in good working order before putting the bike back on the road if it has been hibernating over the winter.

MOST routine maintenance like oil change & chain adjustments, you can do yourself if you have access to simple tools.....wrenches, sockets, etc.
